Putting things together in a new and different way is a part of the creative process, sometimes the result is a rousing success and sometimes it opens the door to new ideas.
Studio Work
I had a request from a customer to use the components form one of my linked bracelets for a necklace. I tried to create this using a series of jump rings, stinging the components on different types of cords and omega chain. In each instance the beads tilted and you couldn’t see the glass. I had more pictures of each attempt; I lost them in my transition to a new phone. The key learning here is that intention is a critical element of design. The overall concept is good, the silver settings need to be designed to hang properly in a necklace.
Today I also realized that I forgot to complete the wire work for these two samples for the show. One more trip to Fedex!
More progress on the Faroese shawl. Very challenging, today I actually started to have some fun.
I ended the day working on this shawl to unwind and relax.
